A budding artist... or not.

I'm not sure when it started, exactly... or even why.  But all of a sudden Deacon is REALLY into drawing and other artsy things.  This child is my anti-art child... it's never been a hobby/activity that he enjoys all that thoroughly and he doesn't really have that natural/raw talent that some kids possess.  In the past we've gotten him to do some fun art projects... but he loses interest quickly.  But for the past few weeks he's been drawing everywhere he goes... and he's especially been loving the bathtub crayons that I randomly found in the back of the cupboard!

Tonight Zachary was asking Deacon to draw all types of things... Peppa Pig, George Pig, Daddy Pig, Mommy Pig, a pumpkin, etc... He finally asked Deacon to draw a picture of me.
He finally asked Deacon to draw a picture of me.
Not sure what I should think of this... especially since I asked if I was wearing a costume or trying to pretend to be something- and he looked at me like I was weird, "No mommy... this is just you."
I'm sure some would agree with his interpretation... but I'm hoping those people are in the minority.

Love the pic of you! Phoenix has ZERO interest in coloring or writing yet... I think he just finds it boring. We've tried, but are pretty much accepting the fact he's just not into it. He'll do finger paints, but that's about it. Oh, and he loves Play-Doh.
