Davis Whole Earth Festival

We go to the Whole Earth Festival every year- and it always falls on Mothers Day weekend.  It's a lot of fun... very hippy.  The kids had a blast getting dirty, listening to the music (which is very different than what they're used to) and eating good food.  The coolest part about the festival is that they attempt to have zero waste... and they ask that you bring your own dishes/forks/spoons/etc... You have to pay extra to use theirs- and even theirs isn't plastic or paper... it's stuff they have to wash themselves!  So cool.  They also give you a discount if you bring your own stuff- which I'm all for!

The boys' have allergies like crazy right now- and Deacon is hardly functioning without Benadryl... but unfortunately the stuff makes him so sleepy so we can't give it to him too much.  Zac is also feeling it - on top of teething a couple molars.  Yuck.  Thankfully the festival seemed to take their minds off their runny noses and itchy skin for a while... it was nice to take a break from the whining and clinginess.

Love the picture of you and both boys Zac on your back and Deacon under. That one needs a frame! Happy Mothers Day.
