Happy 6 months!!!

We did it... 6 months. Today marks an amazing goal for me- when Zac was born I wanted nothing more than to breastfeed him longer than I did with Deacon (not THAT hard to do really, LOL). My goal was originally 4 months- per Zac's pediatrician. At the 4 month mark I knew I could go longer, so I said that I wanted to go until 6 months. Around that time is when Zac stopped nursing all together and I started exclusively pumping. Let me tell you- exclusively pumping is one of the absolute hardest things I've done in my entire life. And, as with a lot of things we do as parents, it's one of those things that I will never be thanked for... Zac will never appreciate it as much as he should- which is fine... but it makes it hard sometimes to pump when I know it's not very appreciated (I know this sounds selfish and vain... but I'm just being honest).

Anyways- here we are! I am so pleased. No more goals- we're just taking it day by day from here on out.

I cannot believe my baby boy is 6 months old already. He's getting so big and he's doing so much. Right now his favorite game is when we put his paci in our mouth, he grabs it from us, we yell, "HEY! That's MY paci!"- and he giggles madly and puts the paci in his mouth- quite pleased with himself. We play this game a lot- it amuses us all.
